- To know the name of the five kingdoms, the type of cells they are made of and give, at least, an example of an organism from each kingdom.
- To explain what a tissue, an organ and a system are.
- Given a diagram of a cell, to label the organelles and explain their functions.
- To know the discoveries related to the cell by Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, Robert Hooke, M. Schleiden and T.Schwan.
- To know the statements of the cell theory.
